Relaxing With Games.

I enjoy all sorts of high octane shoot ‘em ups, RPGs and first person shooters but sometimes these games just don’t cut the mustard.
It may sound a bit sad but I often sit quite happily playing on Window’s own ‘Spider Solitaire’ or ‘Pinball’ games. But, in my defence, if you have had a busy day where you have been constantly rushing around you do not always feel like being chased by Nazi zombies or battling it out with intergalactic shape-shifters!
Some other good games for relaxing are ones like ‘Peggle’, ‘Bejewelled’ and ‘Magic Farm’. These may not use the latest high tech graphics or swarm engines but they are still great fun and are often very addictive. ‘World of Goo’ is another brilliant game to play when you want to unwind. It does not work on an ‘against the clock’ formula and it can actually be quite a soothing experience! All of the old retro ones like ‘Galaga’, ‘Gorf’, ‘Phoenix’ and ‘Galaxians’ can be good fun to relax with as well.
I can often lose myself in these more simple games for hours on end. They are not what I feel like playing all of the time but they certainly have their place in my collection. Chilling out with some simple puzzle game can be very therapeutic after a hard day at work. I suppose it is the same as watching the soaps on TV…
Playing video games is not just about getting a buzz from the latest release. There are different ones for different moods.
One last thing, I have just comprehended that I have been staring at my computer screen for the last couple of hours and am really tired of my Battlestar Galactica Wallpaper, I think it is time for a revision, these and more updates coming soon
